We Can Never Go Home by Matthew Rosenberg (Black Mask Studios, 2016)
Agent: Matthew Rosenberg

Status:

Summary: The story of two teenagers, a mixtape, a stolen car, a fully loaded .45, strange abilities, dead drug dealers, and their money. A dark and modern story about getting lost and finding yourself on the backroads of America.

Notes:
A very punk rock story. A pair of teens on the run they accidentally kill someone – the boy an outcast and a popular girl with laser vision and super strength. Coming from opposite ends of the social spectrum, they manage to find solace with each other in their misunderstood teen lives. A brilliant on the road story (like X-Men kids before they get to the academy) you get to see the two kids bicker and console each other. A messy teen romance mixed in with Breaking Bad.
