‘HBO has given a pilot order to comedy Mrs. Fletcher, based on The Leftovers author Tom Perrotta’s bestselling novel, with Kathryn Hahn attached to star, and Nicole Holofcener set to direct and executive produce. Perrotta, who co-created with Damon Lindel of the HBO series The Leftovers inspired by his book, wrote the Mrs. Fletcher adaptation and executive produces.
Mrs. Fletcher, which had been in the works at HBO for a while, is about an empty-nest mom (played by Hahn) and her college-student son who embrace their newfound freedom with mixed results.
Jessi Klein and Sarah Condon will executive produce with Holofcener and Perrotta.
Perrotta’s Mrs. Fletcher book was published in August 2017 by Simon & Schuster.
Hahn is repped by Gersh, Lighthouse Management & Media and Schreck Rose. Holofcener is repped by UTA and Jackoway Tyerman. Perrotta is repped by WME and MMQ Lit.’
