‘After the Flood’ by Kassandra Montag TV rights go to Chernin Entertainment/Endeavor Content

‘Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content have closed a TV rights deal for the Kassandra Montag novel After the Flood. Chernin Entertainment will produce, and Chernin Entertainment/Endeavor Content will serve as the studio through their scripted drama partnership.Kass10+-+Copy+(2)

The novel, which had several suitors, is set in a post-apocalyptic 2130. The Earth has flooded, leaving an archipelago of mountaintops surrounded by water. Myra and her young daughter join a large ship searching for safe haven. Her oldest daughter, Row, was kidnapped during the flood. When Myra convinces the crew to head north in an effort to rescue Row, the decision changes everyone’s fate.

HarperCollins will publish through its Global Publishing Programme, with Borough Press to issue it in the UK.  They snapped up Montag’s After the Flood after an auction at London Book Fair. The book is slated to be published in 2019. The deal was negotiated by Rachel Kahan, executive editor at William Morrow, with Victoria Sanders at Victoria Sanders & Associates.’
